While expressing admiration toward those who deserve it is grand, many seem to cross the line between being a simple supporter and being an obsessive zealot. What exactly is it that pushes people over this hairline thick border and makes them sit and watch in awe as their ineffable icon does something as common as... breathing? I'll admit that I too have fallen into this assemblage of admiring followers; that I too have felt intimidation around those I see as gifted; that I too have overindulged in items (merch) that were unnecessary and only left me wanting more. The bottom line is: People are people. Yes, I'm stating the obvious, but it is the most obvious facts that are constantly overlooked. I understand this, but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, I still go back to acting this way.

So, does anyone have a cure for my good people? We can pay you in virtual smileys and mild mental breakdowns. :)

In other words, school's out for summer.

However, being an unemployed teenager won't get me very far. But who needs to go places when you have your own time travel machine at home? (Or at least, the next best thing.) I've gathered up my pennies and plan to visit a Half Price Books store and stock up on what will later become over-sized paperweights once I'm through reading them. Oh, and of course I'll be on Buzznet about 125% of the day. No, that is certainly not an exaggeration. I've actually found a way of making each day 30 hours long. Then again, it could still only be 100...

Looks like this is becoming a very productive summer.

Gather 'round, children, and I shall tell you the tale of my first HCT experience.

I arrived at the Palladium Ballroom a little bit before 4, and got to take a picture with the car one lucky person will receive at the end of the tour. (I came out in a weird position, because the wind was blowing my hair all over the place, and I was kind of uncomfortable by the time it stopped.)

My sister then experienced a tragic loss... The death of her iPod. Bored as can be, we decided to take a picture of Panic's bus.

Zack then checked off all of the early entry people on his list, and made fun of how long my e-mail address is. (It was a pain to log-in when I first made it.) He also complimented our sashes, as did about a billion other people. (If you were one of them, thanks again!)

We went into the venue and stood on the second level's barrier. NO PIT FOR THIS GIRL. Phantom Planet was up first and was more amazing than I had expected. They made me feel so good inside.

The Hush Sound came on next. I was sooooo happy they played "As You Cry." I know they don't play the type of music one would jump around like a lunatic to, but of course, I did anyway.

Motion City Soundtrack had me dancing around in the tiny space I had to myself. Sorry if my hips ever bumped yours!

What can I say about PATD? Nothing much. Why? Their performance left me speechless. The best moment was definitely during "I Constantly Thank God For Esteban." The lights, the music, and the crowd were all perfect. The stage was... MAGICAL. (I'm easily impressed.)

By the end of the night I was completely dripping in sweat. Gross, I know.

I also met a fellow boardie!!! Small world, huh, Tracy? (Woah, my eyes are huge.)

I'm a retard, so I broke the handle off of my purse after the show. Good thing I bought a THS tote! I love the blue elephants. (Arthur moment?)

Four bands and minus two letters on my sash later, I awaited my ride in the cool Dallas breeze, singing Juanes tunes. (Why, oh why, did his concert have to be on the same night as Panic's?!?!) Anyway, if you were there, I'm pretty sure you'll agree that the show was nothing less than awesome.

HCT is only 16 days away for me, so you can be on the lookout for a video review. If you happen to see a girl in a Pretty Odd (no periods) sash, that'll most likely be me, or my evil twin. (Yes, I AM just that ridiculous.)

Me. I've come to steal your sense of humor.

Life was good to me this week; this alone makes me smile. It's times like this that make want to burst out in song and dance, but I won't. I have to spare whatever I have left of my dignity. Or do I?

Ted still hasn't met their mother. (Shocker, right?) To be honest, I think I'd enjoy living in a slanted house, but maybe that's just me.

Habits are terribly hard to kick. I've been biting my nails again. Not a pleasant sight if you ask me (which, of course, you haven't).
